Learning in Room 17

Primary 7 have been getting stuck right into our WW2 topic this week and we have learnt lots of new things about what life was like during the war.

First of all we watched some interviews of men and women who experienced the Clydebank Blitz first hand! We were amazed to discover how close to home Clydebank actually was.

Next – we took some inspiration from our learning and created Clydebank Blitz silhouette art. We used oil pastels and experimented with different blending techniques to create our flame filled sky.

In addition to The Blitz, we have been learning about rationing and how propaganda was used during WW2. We explored the different posters used and focussed on 2 particular ones to help create our own!
