A busy week in Room 3!

What a busy week we have had in Room 3! šŸ™‚

This week in Numeracy, the boys and girls have been learning all about the numbers ‘6’ and ‘7’. Perhaps if you ask the children they will tell you all about ‘Snappy Six’ and ‘Spotty Seven’. We have been practising counting and forming these numbers and we are becoming confident individuals with our number work.

In Literacy, we have been learning two new sounds this week, ‘p’ and ‘nā€™. We are able to generate lots of words beginning with those sounds, write the sounds and are able to make some words on our magnetic boards which have those sounds in them. Super job everyone, we are so proud of you.

On Wednesday, we were able to take part in our first virtual infant assembly. It was so much fun seeing Mrs Meechan on the screen telling us all about the upcoming events in our school. We had a great morning, thank you Mrs Meechan!

On Friday, we are celebrating Halloween in Newton Farm. The children can come to school wearing their costumes but are reminded not to bring in accessories with them. We will have some fun Halloween arts and crafts tasks to complete and we will also have a mini parade in our classroom. We are so excited to see you all tomorrow in your costumes!
