Ruby’s Worry in Room 5

This week in Room 5 we read the book Ruby’s Worry by Tom Percival. We used this book for our literacy, health and well-being and art.

After reading the book we drew a picture of what we thought a worry would look like.  Then we discussed what we could do if we had a worry.  We had lots of ideas including putting them in the class worry box and trying to think about something else.  Just like Ruby, the children decided that the best way to get rid of a worry was to tell someone.  We made a worry monster to keep in class so that we can tell our worries to it.  Yesterday, for our writing we completed a list of five people we can tell our worries to.

We hope you enjoy seeing our work.

Room 5 will now have outdoor PE on a Tuesday and Friday.  Children should come to school dressed for PE with joggers/leggings on along with a polo shirt, their school jumper/cardigan and trainers. Please ensure that your child has a  warm waterproof jacket with them on these days.
