500 Words Competition

Some of our P4-7s wrote and submitted entries into the BBC Radio 2 500 Words competition earlier this year. This is a tough competition, and keeping a story limited to 500 words is trickier than you think!!

We were absolutely delighted to find out during the holidays that not one, but two of our pupils have made it through to the next round of the competition. There were around 135000 entries and only 5000 go on to the second round, so this is an amazing achievement.

A massive well done to Zoe in Room 13 and Caleb in Room 17. We are so proud of you both!

We are also proud of all of our pupils who wrote a 500 words story. I was lucky enough to read lots of them and the standard was very high. You are all stars!
