Day 3 starts with time for reflection about our week so far. This morning we discussed team work and how working in a team can really support us during activities. We also discussed the ways we can work in a team and how motivating each other and communicating with each other is important. We had the opportunity to participate in different activities such as the human knot, jigsaw puzzles and making friendship bracelets. The human knot and jigsaw puzzle allowed us to comminucate with others to solve a problem. We created friendship bracelets to wear to remind us about ‘the golden rule’ which also was disccused today. The golden rule is treat others the way you want to be treated. By creating the friendship bracelets and wearing these the aim is when you see it it can remind you of this rule.
We then set off for our morning activites. Everyone has managed to have a go of the king swing which seems to be a firm favourite of the class. Here are some photos of the morning activities.
After lunch we had two special visitors to join us for our afternoon activity – Mrs Webber and Alison from the chaplaincy team.
They joined in with the search and rescue activity. For this activity we were discussing and practicing orienteering and C.C.C (Check, Call, Care) First Aid. Once we completed this we then went on a mission as we were informed there was some accidents in the forest that we had to help out. We firstly had to use our map skills to find clues about our patients and once we figured out who we were saving, we were off! We worked together in groups and managed to save one casualty!
After dinner we had time to reflect and fill out our emotion works diary all about todays activities.
Then we had a quiz night that Ross put on for us.
Another hectic, busy and fun day in Lendrick Muir! Cannot believe we only have one more day of activities left!
