Room 15 – Active Learning & Class Cafe

This week in Room 15 we have continued to explore money in our Numeracy activities.  We have been enjoying using ICT to help support our learning and the active learning approach through playing games.  Sometimes we have been ‘playing’ so much that we haven’t realised we have been learning!

This week we had a go at preparing our own snack.  We were so good at this that we opened our Room 15 cafe today.  Today we prepared and served toast with a choice of butter, jam or beans!  We had two very busy chefs who worked hard in our kitchen, two hard working waiters serving our hungry customers, a waiter serving drinks,  a waiter setting tables and two helpers washing and drying the dishes!  We worked so well as a team and our visitors from Room 9 and 18 were very satisfied customers.  D from Room 9 gave us a ‘five star review’ as she left!  Lots of great communication and team work from all our pupils working and visiting the Class Cafe.

We used our iPads in class to look at making a menu to include all the items that we have for snack for the next time we open the Room 15 cafe!  The pupils can’t wait to do this again!

Please remember to visit our stall tomorrow (Thursday 28th) to purchase some of our goods that we have been busy creating!

Some other pictures this week from French where we were learning colours and from Literacy where we were using spaghetti to spell our common words.
