During National Digital Learning Week 2019, our S1 and S2 pupils in Computing Science, had the opportunity to become ‘Doodlers’ for the day and create inspiring and impressive new Google Doodles. We made use of the CSFirst Google materials to design, program and animate our Doodles
Our S3 pupils also completed this task, however, they looked at the planning stage first, coming up with some new designs, then completing some collaborative learning to work together to learn from each other and create their doodles.
In the lead up to National Digital Learning Week, we have also had all our S3 Computing Science pupils, as well as some Seniors, working on the iDEA Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award. This saw our pupils work through digital, enterprise and employability ‘badges’ and gain a minimum of 250 points to achieve their Bronze Awards and a further 250 for a Silver Award. Out of the 109 pupils who took part, they managed to achieve a highly impressive 70 Bronze certificates and 14 Silver certificates, with everyone completing badges along the way. As a group they have completed an awesome 3,314 badges!!!
