In this Guest blog post, Claire McVittie, Teacher of English from St Kentigern’s Academy in West Lothian, Forth Valley and West Lothian shares on how she has created a OneDrive page for English specialists to share resources and ideas.<\/div>\n

As a Teacher of English, it\u2019s safe to say that my skill set does not rest in technology. However, I am always keen to learn how to use it both inside and outside of the classroom<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in order to best support pupils and colleagues<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>I\u2019ve been<\/span><\/span>\u00a0fortunate enough\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to work with staff who a<\/span><\/span>re<\/span><\/span>\u00a0always<\/span><\/span>\u00a0will<\/span><\/span>ing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to share resources. I am a big believer in working together\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in order to learn about different<\/span><\/span>\u00a0teaching styles and different approaches.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>This said, g<\/span><\/span>iven that there was only twelve of us in the department, our reso<\/span><\/span>urce bank was somewhat limited.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

I was becoming increasingly interested in how much time\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Teachers<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of English could save, if only we\u00a0<\/span><\/span>worked<\/span><\/span>\u00a0together from a shared bank or\u00a0<\/span><\/span>resources<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 On Sunday 11<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>September<\/span><\/span>, I\u00a0<\/span><\/span>decided<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to do something about this, and created my OneDrive page<\/a> (which I recently\u00a0<\/span><\/span>synced<\/span><\/span>\u00a0up with Te<\/span><\/span>ams).\u00a0 The OneDrive page\/Teams page is a safe place where\u00a0<\/span><\/span>people<\/span><\/span>\u00a0can share ideas, resources and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>expertise<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 I need to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>add people through\u00a0<\/span><\/span>their<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Glow email address \u2013 feel free to get in touch if you\u2019d like me to add you.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
