New ASN Scenarios<\/strong><\/summary>\n

We are excited to introduce a range of new Additional Support Needs (ASN) scenarios. Developed to support more inclusive programme delivery, these resources provide relatable and accessible discussion topics that encourage engagement, participation, and learning for all young people \u2013 topics include Misogyny 1 and 2, Knife and Body Image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bookflix Resource<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Our new Bookflix resource can be used as a valuable tool for exploring themes linked to MVP through books. The resource helps spark conversations around gender-based violence topics and offering an engaging way to reinforce key MVP messages with young people. This can be used to strengthen partnership with your school or local library, using the format which is accessible and engaging for young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MVP in the Community Training<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Work is progressing on our MVP in the Community training programme, designed to extend MVP principles beyond school settings. This exciting development will support community organisations and youth groups to build confidence in using the MVP approach to create safer and supportive environments, see the graphic below for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting Your Programme Off to a Great Start<\/strong><\/summary>\n

As the new academic year begins, now is the perfect time to review your delivery plans, recruit and train mentors, and schedule sessions. Making use of the latest resources and guidance will help ensure your MVP programme is well-organised, engaging, and successful from the outset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A gentle reminder about using the pre and post surveys for Mentors and Mentees, this will help us track and evaluate any changes in young people as they go through the programme. These can be found below or in the School Lead Quality Assurance Booklet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dates for your Diary<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Train the Trainer<\/strong> \u2013 There are 2 events each year in March and November. If you have been delivering MVP for at least a year, have capacity to deliver training and would like to train as a staff trainer within your authority, our next one is being hosted by Edinburgh City Council on the 4th and 5th of November. <\/strong>Please get in touch with your Local Authority coordinator or email the national team on the emails below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 16 Days of Activism<\/strong> \u2013 The campaign runs from 25 November to 10 December<\/strong>, bringing together organisations to take a stand against domestic and gender\u2011based violence. If you are planning any activities or events in your local authority, please share this with us and we can showcase the collective efforts from across the country in our Winter newsletter!<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n
