{"id":3267,"date":"2017-12-15T15:13:47","date_gmt":"2017-12-15T15:13:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/milngavienursery\/?p=3267"},"modified":"2017-12-15T15:13:47","modified_gmt":"2017-12-15T15:13:47","slug":"pantosaurus-making-children-aware-of-keeping-safe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/milngavienursery\/2017\/12\/15\/pantosaurus-making-children-aware-of-keeping-safe\/","title":{"rendered":"Pantosaurus- making children aware of keeping safe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon in nursery we had a serious chat about keeping our bodies safe.\u00a0 This was in response to some children using names for parts of the body inappropriately, and we felt that it was important that our children are aware of parts of the body which are private.\u00a0\u00a0 We want children to know the correct\u00a0terminology for parts of the body, and we also want them to know when it is appropriate to use the words.\u00a0\u00a0 The Early Level of the Curriculum for Excellence contains outcomes relating to this\u00a0as part of \u00a0Health and Wellbeing:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am learning about respect for my\u00a0body and what behaviour is right and wrong.
