We’ve been looking at how we draw plans and are making a big plan of the orchard on a wall in the discovery room. \u00a0We are continuing on the theme of how we can \u00a0show people information by exploring a pictogram graph at group time this week. Each group is going to make a pictogram graph showing eye colours in their group and then we are going to make a big one to put on the wall in the hall so everyone can see. \u00a0Data handling is part of our \u00a0maths this year and it is a fun way to explore it.<\/p>\n
We are fixing broken bones in the hospital this week and printing in the art area. \u00a0There is a lovely idea on the plan for some blindfold ice cream tasting. \u00a0I’m getting in the queue for that! \u00a0We are exploring capacity and transferring amounts in the water tray and there might be a bit of Troll Dancing on the cards for later in the week. We have started practising our Xmas songs for our concert too.<\/p>\n
Enjoyaballs is on Tuesday for the morning group and on Wednesday for the afternoon children and Gary will be back to show us some more fun games.<\/p>\n
We are meeting Twiggle and his puppet friends this week in our PATHS -Promoting Alternative Thinking Skills- lesson. \u00a0We should have met them last week but Daphne Duck absconded and just couldn’t be found! \u00a0We have borrowed another Daphne from the Infant Dept so this week we are good to go!<\/p>\n
On Friday we are having a wear your Jammies to Nursery day for Children in Need. \u00a0If you wish you can make a \u00a31 donation to Children in Need for the priviledge. \u00a0All the staff are looking forward to it and the NC students have chosen their jammies and onesies already!<\/p>\n
