Happy and Healthy Topic

This week Primary 1 have been enjoying the Happy and Healthy topic. We talked about things  that make us happy. Here are some of the things the children said….

“When my mum gives me cuddles”

“Making people laugh”

“When my baby cousin Neive gives me cuddles”

“When Mummy and  Daddy let me go to the park”

We are learning that there are ten  keys to happiness. The key we were learning this week was Connections.

We discussed how we had loving connections in our family .

…..and in our class.

This is our display to show that every child in Primary 1 is connected in  a circle of friendship.

Well done Primary 1…..great work!

Week Beginning 14th September

Mrs. Carleton felt very lucky this week as she got to have fun with Primary 1! It was a pleasure to see how much the boys and girls have learned and progressed since starting school. We learned two new sounds, ‘s’ and ‘i’ and enjoyed making words with them. We also tried to write them underneath with beautiful letter formation. We enjoyed some relaxation time this week by trying out yoga. We were also working hard at our number of the week, which was number 5. Keep up the good work, Primary 1!
