Art

room-13 rm-13

Room 13 is a space within Caol Primary School, Fort William which began in 1994. It is a project which is dedicated to art and is entirely child led. Room 13 is designed for children to fully immerse themselves in creativity and encourage them to explore, experiment and use their imagination. This project allowed me to see the different ways that art can be implemented and made me realise how beneficial it is for children to be able to simply create what they want. The room is fully child run and they all have their individual roles, highlighting that children are able to take responsibility for their learning – this is one of the benefits that Room 13 holds.

As future educators it is important to give children a problem to solve in their learning.

We made a few mistakes, however, it was an enjoyable process perfecting this piece.
