This course will run from September 2022 to May 2023. The six sessions will run virtually from October 2022 to January 2023, and participants will engage in individual enquiry from January onwards, submitting a final reflective piece in May.

Session 1: Leadership of establishment – Wednesday 5th October 16:00 – 17:30

Session 2: Addressing gender stereotypes – Thursday 3rd November 16:00 – 17:30

Session 3: Learning and teaching – Wednesday 23rd November 16:00 – 17:30

Session 4: Skills and pathways – Thursday 15th December 16:00 – 17:30

Session 5: Family and community learning – Monday 16th January 16:00 – 17:30

Session 6: (Optional): Conducting an Enquiry – Monday 23rd January 16:00 – 17:30

Each session will be 1.5 hours long and run as twilights. The sessions will support you to explore the self-evaluation framework and implement the framework’s indicators of effectiveness within your own practice and wider setting.

Between sessions, practitioners will be expected to carry out short tasks that will support your progress on the programme.

Support will be provided by IGBE officers throughout to answer questions and provide advice and guidance.

Other information

Sessions will be delivered virtually and recorded where possible for those who are unable to attend.

Please note that the majority of learning will be done through discussion and will not be recorded so it is preferable that participants attend the sessions to get the maximum benefit.

It is possible to independently apply for GTCS recognition after doing this course.
