March &#8211; LGBT Awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Throughout the month of March we had a focus on \u2018LGBT Awareness\u2019 linking with linking with the UNCRC<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Articles 2 \u2018All children have these rights no matter what their differences are\u2019 and Article 13 \u2018I have the right to find out and share information\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Some experiences we carried our to support this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s4\">Dress up &#8211; Opportunities for children to express themselves and explore their identity through choosing or designing their own clothing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s4\">Using paper or photographs of themselves as templates for children to use to dress \u201cthemselves\u201d using different art materials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s4\">Design a rights respecting flag.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s4\">Acts of Kindness &#8211; Setting a challenge for children to participate in a small act of kindness.
