{"id":1389,"date":"2025-02-14T17:11:49","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T17:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/largsearlyyears\/?p=1389"},"modified":"2025-02-25T13:48:13","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T13:48:13","slug":"leyc-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/largsearlyyears\/2025\/02\/14\/leyc-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"LEYC Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Following on from the children\u2019s interests around \u2018People Who Help Us\u2019, this week we have created a hospital at LEYC \ud83e\ude7b\ud83e\ude79\ud83e\ude7aThe children have been exploring different instruments and resources used by doctors and nurses such as a stethoscope \ud83e\ude7a bandages\/plasters \ud83e\ude79thermometers, etc. The children have been observed playing appropriately by acting out different real life scenarios (we have some great actors and actresses who were the patients today \ud83e\udd23) within the hospital role play area. The children were also using appropriate language such as \u201cI am sick\u201d, \u201cyou need medicine to make you better\u201d, \u201cdo you have a virus?\u201d\ud83e\udda0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\ud83d\udfe2Health &amp; Wellbeing 0-42a &#8211; I am beginning to learn about people who can help us in an emergency situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\ud83d\udfe2Health &amp; Wellbeing 0-47b &#8211; I am aware of my growing body and I am learning the correct names for it\u2019s different parts and how they work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\ud83c\udf08Expressive Arts 0-14a &#8211;
