The programme is currently being used across North Ayrshire to support children\u2019s Health and Wellbeing. This nurture based programme has been designed to meet the well-being needs of the children with links to the Curriculum for Excellence, Building the Ambition and the UNCRC. PATHS will be delivered on a weekly basis as small group activity with your child&#8217;s key worker. The children will be introduced to a variety of experiences based around supporting \u2013<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Emotional understanding &#8211; recognising and naming feelings and emotions.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-control &#8211; building confidence and resilience.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Social problem solving \u2013 working alongside and sharing with our friends.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Peer relations and self-esteem \u2013building communication skills and confidence.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We have 2 new lovely characters to introduce to you all; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><em><strong>SIMOA<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; Our Safety inspector elephant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Safety.Inspect.Monitor.Observe.Act<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><em><strong>Monty<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; Our inclusive ambassador to help us learn about how our brains all work differently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Our new inclusive ambassador is a wonderful friendly way to teach our children about inclusion, empathy, and respect for diversity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">By promoting safety and inclusivity in our PATHS programme we are creating supportive environments where children can not only thrive but learn about and uphold their rights. The UNCRC emphasises children\u2019s rights to safety, education, equality and participation:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Article 6- The right to develop;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong>A safe and inclusive environment fosters all aspects of a child\u2019s development &#8211; physical, emotional, cognitive, and social.
