Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within Largs EYC, we provide workshops to support our parents\/carers with their child&#8217;s learning and development.<\/p>\n<p>As part of my responsibility as the Literacy Co-ordinator I have helped to set up workshops to support parents and children with their Literacy skills.\u00a0 During the workshop we set out various experiences to allow parents\/carers to get a flavour of the different activities that we offer within the centre.\u00a0 As part of our planning within the nursery we follow Curriculum for Excellence Literacy guidelines.\u00a0 This covers a range of areas including listening &amp; attention, rhyming, syllables, mark making and initial sounds.\u00a0 We prepare activities tailored around these areas for parents to gain a better understanding of what we do at Largs EYC to support their child&#8217;s literacy development.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-380 gallery-columns-3
