Mnemonic Devices <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Creating an acronym, rhyme or song<\/strong>\u00a0out of important information will spark your memory<\/em> and make you much more likely to remember information.<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Maths<\/strong>, you might use BODMAS<\/em>. This is an acronym\u00a0which stands for B<\/strong>racket, O<\/strong>rders, D<\/strong>ivision, M<\/strong>ultiplication, A<\/strong>ddition and S<\/strong>ubtraction.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Music<\/strong>, to remember the lines on a treble clef (E, G, B, D, F<\/strong>), you could use\u00a0E<\/strong>very G<\/strong>ood B<\/strong>oy D<\/strong>eserves F<\/strong>udge<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Science<\/strong>, you might be studying the solar system. One way to remember the planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) is: M<\/strong>y V<\/strong>ery E<\/strong>xcited M<\/strong>other J<\/strong>ust S<\/strong>erved U<\/strong>s Nine Pies. Or without<\/em> Pluto (sorry Pluto!): M<\/strong>y V<\/strong>ery E<\/strong>ducated M<\/strong>other J<\/strong>ust S<\/strong>erved U<\/strong>s N<\/strong>oodles<\/p>\n
