What is the Parent Council – and who are we?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n Every parent or carer with a child at our school is automatically part of the Parent Forum.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Parent Forum<\/strong> gives all parents a voice, and it can choose to have those views represented through a Parent Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Parent Council<\/strong> is a smaller group of parents and carer volunteers who work in partnership with the school and local authority, helping to represent the views of the wider parent community and support the school in a variety of ways<\/p>\n We currently have around 25 active members<\/strong> in our Parent Council, made up of a mix of mums, dads and carers.<\/p>\n Co-chairs<\/strong>: Michelle Anderson & Nuala Watson<\/p>\n Treasurer<\/strong>: Jennifer Gibbons<\/p>\n Secretary<\/strong>: Fiona Morrison<\/p>\n When people hear \u201cParent Council\u201d, there can sometimes be a bit of a stereotype – the idea that it\u2019s just a group of mums with lots of spare time on their hands.
