The committee includes a pupil from each class and is guided by an adult eco-coordinator. They are key to implementing the Eco-Schools Scotland programme, which aims to make sustainability an integral part of school life. We work towards achieving the Eco-Schools Scotland Green Flag award, which is based on the Seven Elements of the Eco-Schools programme. <strong>We were most recently awarded Eco School status in December 2024 with an Eco Schools Flag! We also received a commendation for Learning for Sustainability from Keep Scotland Beautiful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Eco-Committee will typically focus on topics like energy conservation, waste reduction, biodiversity, healthy living, and global citizenship.
