You can set the blog to use the block editor instead or set it up to have one or other as the default with the choice to switch. More details on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/glowbloghelp\/how-to\/the-block-editor\/\">blocks page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the future WordPress will be transitioning to the Blocks Editor, we hope to transition to defaulting to the Blocks editor but suport the classic editor while we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brief instructions to using the classic editor and the blocks editor follow.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>There has been a recent WordPress change. Pasting a link into the classic editor no longer produces an embed. You need to use the block editor or the Dear Flip plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#blocks\" style=\"border-radius:0px\">Blocks<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"2\/#classic\" style=\"border-radius:0px\">Classic<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"blocks\">Blocks Editor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/blocks\/2023\/08\/11\/file-block\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/blocks\/2023\/08\/11\/file-block\/\">File block<\/a> this will embed a pdf as below. On smaller devices it may not show the pdf.  The File bloc has some setting in the setting sidebar where you can turn off the show inline.
