Children do best when their families are enabled to offer them nurturing care and when families and education settings work well together.<\/p>\n<p>The Nurturing Families resources have been produced to support any educational setting in Glasgow who wish to work with their families to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Build strong relationships between and within the school\/ELC setting and local community.<\/li>\n<li>Develop shared language and approaches to understanding children\u2019s development, behaviour and emotions using the nurture principles.<\/li>\n<li>Empower parents and carers to develop their own ways of providing nurturing care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Nurturing Families resources consist of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>A set of PowerPoint slides which can be used to run Nurturing Families parent\/carer group sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Booklets for parents\/carers to accompany the Nurturing Families sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Posters which can be displayed in your setting.
