{"id":2214,"date":"2021-07-12T09:26:38","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T09:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/glasgowpsychologicalservice\/?page_id=2214"},"modified":"2025-11-05T13:41:56","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T13:41:56","slug":"partnership-private-nurseries","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/glasgowpsychologicalservice\/about-our-service\/partnership-private-nurseries\/","title":{"rendered":"Funded Providers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Requesting Involvement from Glasgow Educational Psychological Service<\/h2>\n<p>Funded Providers (previously referred to as Partnership\u00a0 nurseries), health and social work may request involvement from an Educational Psychologist for the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>To support establishments to meet children\u2019s additional support needs within their setting.<\/li>\n<li>To support a child&#8217;s transition to school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Funded Providers can also contact the area Early Years Leads (details below) for general advice and information. Please contact the relevant Early Years Lead for the child\u2019s home address.<\/p>\n<p><!--StartFragment --><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf0\">If you wish to apply to the Area Inclusion Group (AIG) for an alternative pathway for school (if there are concerns that the child\u2019s needs can not be met in their local mainstream school), the AIG processes and paperwork can be found on <\/span><a class=\"cf0\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/glasgowearlyyears\/additional-support-needs\/support-from-external-agencies-stage-4\/\"><span class=\"cf0\">Glasgow Early Years website<\/span><\/a><span class=\"cf0\">. Please be aware that the cut-off for applications for alternative pathways to school is usually around the end of October of a child\u2019s pre-school year.
