21 Juicy fruits

satsumaSatsumas, tangerines and clementines are all in season at Christmas time.  All three are citrus fruits from different families and they are at their sweetness in our winter months.

Two small satsumas count as one of your 5 a day. They are also a good source of vitamins A and C which help contribute to healthy skin. This is important in the winter months when your skin can dry out due to the central heating.  Take a couple with you when you’re out and about for your festive walks, or use as part of a mixed fruit salad.

Top tip : Keep satsumas away from bananas if you want them to last longer.
