Communities I see myself being a member of;
- Athletics community
- My family
- Peers
- University community
- Work community
At The Dundee Hawkhill Harriers where I train and coach, we all share the same interest in athletics. We all value each others company and enjoy training together. At home I value my mum and dads opinions and listen to the advice they give me. At university we all share the experience of studying at a higher academic level. We all have the pressures of assignments and exams. At work we have to respect each other and work together as a team whilst communicating and being friendly.
They are different from other groups I interact as we all share a common interest in a particular area. Other groups of people outside these communities I don’t have regular interaction with. I might not see them every week to build relationships with them in the same way i can with family and friends from all of these different communities.
