Maeve will be discussing the recently updated Progression Frameworks and how they can assist practitioners with assessing children and young people’s progress in Literacy and Gàidhlig. This session will last approximately 30 minutes and will be delivered through the medium of Gaelic.

Nominations are now being invited for the Gaelic Education Award. This award recognises the successes of all aspects of Gaelic Education. The Scottish Education Awards also include 16 other categories, for example literacy, numeracy, sustainability, 1+2 languages and partnerships which may be of interest to schools with Gaelic Learner and Medium provisions. An online comic is now available for those learning Gaelic. The comic is called ‘S math sin.
Please visit the Education Scotland website for resources to support learning in Gaelic Medium Education about World War I. These resources include looking at the causes of the war, stories from veterans and reflections on the impact of the conflict.
Route maps are a sequential list of the key guidelines, advice and support for qualifications at N4, N5 and Higher. They include important information about assessment, learning and teaching. These papers are for teachers and other staff who provide learning, teaching and support as learners work towards National 4, National 5 and Higher. The route maps for Gaelic (Learners) and Gàidhlig are available on the Education Scotland website.
