Scotland’s Enterprising Schools to Launch at the Scottish Learning Festival 2015

Scotland’s Enterprising Schools will officially launch at this year’s Scottish Learning Festival in Glasgow.

The event will take place on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September at the SECC and representatives from Scotland’s Enterprising Schools will be on hand both days to showcase the project to thousands of educational professionals.

Scotland’s Enterprising Schools is the new online resource and professional learning community centred on sharing and developing creative ideas for enterprise education.

The online resource (www.enterprisingschools.scot) highlights the work of project partners who operated in collaboration with schools across Scotland to pilot enterprise activity – providing case studies, testimonials and evaluations which show the impact of entrepreneurial learning.

It also provides a wealth of information and resources, including lesson plans and challenges, to help schools take a whole school approach to enterprise teaching and learning.

In addition, there is a professional learning community where educational professionals can discuss and share their ideas for enterprise and entrepreneurial education.

Scotland’s Enterprising Schools was developed to empower young people through an educational system that has a CAN DO spirit with entrepreneurship and innovation at it is core, to support education practitioners align with the CAN DO spirit to make their learning more enterprising and entrepreneurial and to expose young people to experiential learning that builds confidence, improves self-esteem and helps them develop skills for learning, life and work.
