About the organisation
We are SKapade Inspirational Development Solutions, an award-winning Community Interest Company based in purpose-built music studios and community hub in our hometown of Dumbarton.
SKapade is a Prince’s Trust-funded enterprise and currently delivers training across the Central Belt of Scotland. We work with various youth groups, veteran charities, businesses, schools, colleges, universities and local authorities to deliver an exciting, unique range of workshops, seminars, talks and lessons.
Our core product and service offering revolves around the electronic dance music sector, but also covers a wide range of topics from motivation and self-confidence right through to events management and DJ skills. We work with all age groups and our service range is rapidly expanding as demand for our services grows.
Our team is made up of Stephen Kirkwood, an international DJ and Producer, as well as actor and comedian Steven Galloni who drive home the message to follow your passion, no matter what it is! We have a diverse and creative team from the creative industries and other well established names in the music industry to help us deliver our workshops and our ethos is centred around our personal success as young entrepreneurs in Scotland, creating success from a humble start, hard work and passion for life.
Enterprise activity in schools
This is where we can engage the young people and give over the valuable insights and lessons we have learned over the years. It is our aim to provide a platform for people all over Scotland to get involved in an industry that is usually really hard to get into. We have done many talks in the West Coast of Scotland which are tailored to be a motivational experience! We can also provide training in the form of our unique workshops and unorthodox approach to life. Our programs that we can cover will have a whole host of topics that will encompass many different roles within the creative industries and how to sustain life as an artist. We are young passionate entrepreneurs who want to get the message across that you can achieve anything as long as you put your mind to it. We also want to showcase that living and being self-employed in the creative industries is no walk in the park as it takes true hard work.

Employability officer West Dunbartonshire Rachael Doyle:

They sought to deliver key messages about self-employment, skills awareness, entrepreneurship and employability skills.
“SKapade have shown themselves to be very motivated and committed to sharing their experiences and offering support to local schools in a number of ways. Stephen and Steven have delivered inspirational talks to senior pupils at assemblies and ran a programme for young people attending The Choices Programme which was a great success.
