First Minister Nicola Sturgeon Endorses Scotland’s Enterprising Schools

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon endorsed the launch of Scotland’s Enterprising Schools at a Scottish Council for Developments & Industry (SCDI) briefing in Edinburgh yesterday.

Speaking to SCDI members from across the private, public and social economy sectors, the First Minister said:

“Angela Constance launched a new online platform last week called Scotland’s Enterprising Schools.

“It builds on the initiatives we launched earlier in the year to develop a charter mark for enterprise in schools. We’re trying to embed a culture of entrepreneurship in schools across Scotland, so that more young people in the years are encouraged to start new companies and try new ideas.”

Scotland’s Enterprising Schools officially launched at the Scottish Learning Festival last week and is now available to teachers all over the country.

Scotland’s Enterprising Schools is the powerful new online resource and professional learning community centred on sharing and developing creative ideas for enterprise education. Teachers across the country will be able to communicate and collaborate with one another to help build a curriculum with innovation and entrepreneurship at its core.
