The<\/span>\u00a0My Rights My Say Young Advisors group\u00a0<\/span>have shared<\/span>\u00a0their\u00a0<\/span>experiences as learners with\u00a0<\/span>additional<\/span>\u00a0support needs and\u00a0<\/span>reflections on\u00a0<\/span>the approaches that lead to more meaningful engagement in school.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Drawing from their own experiences, the young people\u00a0<\/span>have created a short paper reflecting on a range of factors<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 from what they most enjoy in lessons<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0reflections on the wider curriculum<\/span>, to the importance of relationships and being seen as an individual.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Young Advisors are a group of young\u00a0people\u00a0with\u00a0additional\u00a0support needs aged 12-21 who share their views and experiences of support at school. Their work shapes the My Rights, My Say Service and aims to ensure all children in Scotland are heard in decisions about their education.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The group were\u00a0formed as part of the My Rights, My Say Service and is managed by a project team based at Children in Scotland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
