the<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><a class=\"Hyperlink SCXW77089512 BCX0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.corra.scot\/grants\/keep-the-promise-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span class=\"TextRun Underlined SCXW77089512 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">that would help<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">to improve<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">\u00a0support<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">\u00a0and access to education<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW77089512 BCX0\">\u00a0for care experienced children, young people, and those on the edges of care.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">Work to develop Navigate was built on\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">a\u00a0d<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">eep<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">\u00a0understanding of Scotland\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">additional<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">\u00a0support for learning landscape.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">Informed by\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">years of\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">engagement<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">with\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">families,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">educators<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">\u00a0and professionals,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">we\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">identified<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW3644145 BCX0\">three key areas where support Support Plans (CSPs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">These became the pillars around which Navigate was built.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">M<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">uch of the resources we have created focus on\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">the importance of relationships<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">\u00a0when it comes to making improvements in these areas<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW25635602 BCX0\">\u2013 with care experienced children and young people themselves and between the adults who support them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Built in collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">Navigate is\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">shaped by the people it was designed for.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">As well as<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">\u00a0pulling from\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">existing awareness and day-to-day interactions with families and\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">professionals, we<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">\u00a0met with care experienced school pupils, carried out surveys,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">and spoke with partner organisations to make sure the\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">Navigate<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">\u00a0reflect<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">s people\u2019s<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW26251148 BCX0\">\u00a0real experiences and real needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW138111498 BCX0\">Based on those interactions, w<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW138111498 BCX0\">e\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW138111498 BCX0\">have organised\u00a0material<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW138111498 BCX0\">\u00a0into three easy-to-use categories:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding rights &#8211; clear, accessible information and guidance<\/li>\n<li>Real-life stories &#8211; case studies and examples from lived experience<\/li>\n<li>What can I do? &#8211; practical, ready-to-use tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW228968977 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW228968977 BCX0\">Our inspiration and motivation behind Navigate is to help foster positive relationships\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW228968977 BCX0\">and to connect the people and services that form the scaffolding in a young person\u2019s life<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW228968977 BCX0\">. It is<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW228968977 BCX0\">\u00a0hub of resources that are\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW228968977 BCX0\">designed not just to inform, but to help the adults who support care experienced children and young people to work better together.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP Selected SCXW228968977 BCX0\"
