@EdScotSciences<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\nThe competition is open to young people aged 16-19 years. There are up to 30 tickets available for each winning group. Groups have to be accompanied by a teacher\/youth worker, and they should be included with the group of 30 tickets. \u00a0Competition entries can be in the form of a tweeted image or video. Entries have to be posted on Twitter in by 3pm Friday 7th<\/span><\/sup> June.<\/span><\/p>\nWinning schools or groups will be responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their own travel on the day.<\/span><\/p>\nGurjit Singh Lalli, shares his perspectives:<\/p>\n

I am proud of the fantastic reputation that Scotland has globally from passionate companies, ready to speak up and challenge ideas as they do with us at TEDxGlasgow, and look forward to driving more positive impact from continued collaboration in new ways\u201d\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\nResearching the Impact of ideas<\/strong><\/p>\nOur events provide a medium that combines a diverse range of people \u2013\u00a0 thinkers, doers and innovators coming together, ready to be challenged.\u00a0 Designing a framework to measure outcomes from an event as unique as TEDxGlasgow has been an exciting experience, as well as an opportunity to hear directly from a wide range of individuals and organisations with amazing stories to share.\u00a0 Zebunisa Ahmed, our Impact Lead offers her insights:<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth as a volunteer and through a career in data visualisation, I\u2019m driven by seeing how good ideas can make a difference if given a chance\u00a0 \u2013 be that on an individual basis, organisationally or throughout society. As a team we want to inspire meaningful change, and I believe that good ideas can be vector for positive impact, spreading far beyond the event; it all starts with a conversation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nThe impact team get creative when measuring outcomes from the event and are keen to capture examples of the TEDx Glasgow community taking action, as seen in our impact report. We will continue monitoring how our ideas shared translate into actions with positive outcomes, and invite you to share your examples \u2013 the more personal or creative, the more we love hearing from you.<\/p>\n
