The\u00a0 cross-school approach to skills development\u00a0and\u00a0the collective effort\u00a0 to inspire learners in pursuing\u00a0their\u00a0vision for a positive\u00a0future \u00a0has had a significant impact not only on young people themselves but the whole school community.<\/p>\n<p>The school has worked with a wide range of partners\u00a0to support their journey towards ensuring that young people are aspirational, ambitious and have access to appropriate learning experiences\u00a0and support at all levels to equip them for their futures\u00a0.\u00a0 In particular the partnership with Edinburgh International Festival \u00a0has been a catalyst for transformational cultural change for the young people, staff and the EIF events team itself.\u00a0\u00a0Their three year partnership programme resulted in the creation of\u00a0far-reaching\u00a0learning opportunities for pupils and staff alike, from regular inputs to learning and teaching,\u00a0the offer of work placements to hosting a major event at the school as part of the Edinburgh Festival.\u00a0 The role of EIF staff as student mentors has been of significant added value to the young people.
