The programme has been developed by the Education Business Liaison Offers in collaboration with\u00a0the DYW strategic group and employers across the authority and is\u00a0implemented by the council&#8217;s &#8216;Skills for Work&#8217; coordinators.\u00a0\u00a0The programme \u00a0runs for 22 weeks (August \u2013 April) and forms part of the pupils&#8217; timetable.\u00a0 Each young person is engaged one-day a week within an identified role within Angus Council, supported by a mentor.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All young people engaged with the programme have the opportunity to undertake an accredited Personal Development Unit, delivered and supported by Angus Council\u2019s Skills Team<\/p>\n<p>Angus Works is an important way to help all young people to enhance their learning and develop as confident individuals, successful learners, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
