We are looking for fresh new innovative ideas to make better use of available data, to collect new local environmental data that can help further our understanding, and encourage people to get interested and get involved in Scotland\u2019s Environment \u2013 observing, monitoring, taking action, and educating.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"straddled\" title=\"Challenge\" src=\"http:\/\/www.environment.scotland.gov.uk\/hackathon\/images\/challenge.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"116\" height=\"116\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"black\">Scotland\u2019s Environment Web is holding a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.environment.scotland.gov.uk\/hackathon\/\">Hackathon<\/a> with prizes for :<\/p>\n<ul class=\"square\">\n<li>Innovative data mash ups to explore new data relationships to help analyse the state of our environment and the impact it has on us<\/li>\n<li>Infographics, visualisations and games using data to help explain environmental issues and\/or view \u2018my environment\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Prototype designs for new data collection and data entry equipment\/apps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The team are initially interested to hear from students\u00a0at or starting University interested in the environment, gaming, app development, graphic design, product development, data analysis.
