Domestic abuse is a pattern of behaviour that instils fear and is used by abusers to maintain control.

For many children and young people experiencing domestic abuse, the school, early learning and childcare, or community learning and development setting, may be the only place they feel safe. Teachers and other school staff such as homelink workers, or youth workers, can provide lifelines to children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
