Resources should clearly state the intended learning intentions and success criteria. Effective resources should be accessible and engaging, allowing most children and young people to process the information, supporting <strong>progression<\/strong> in learning and appropriate <strong>challenge and enjoyment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Presenting information<\/h3>\n<p>When presenting new information or ideas, educators should keep it clear and concise to reduce cognitive load on learners (ref), including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Information presented should be concise &#8211; too much information and design distracts from processing the information presented (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=68D-PKOScQM&amp;source_ve_path=OTY3MTQ&amp;embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fblogs.glowscotland.org.uk%2F\">see <strong>dual coding<\/strong> video below or use this link<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Keep slides clear and easy to read with lots of &#8216;<strong>white space<\/strong>&#8216; and at least <strong>12 size font<\/strong>\u00a0for reading<\/li>\n<li>Use word processed documents or web browsers that support <strong>text-to-speech and translation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Resources should be <strong>shared in an online space<\/strong> that children and
