This runs alongside other initiatives to train primary school children to do basic coding in a \u2018language\u2019 called Scratch.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the learning intention of Teach the Teacher?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To upscale primary school teachers and to give them the skills (and more importantly the confidence) to be able to run Scratch code club sessions for pupils. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there any prerequisites?\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">No prior coding knowledge required.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Access to: <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A device that has internet connectivity to run Scratch and access the web resources <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A reliable internet connection for video presentation or content sharing (virtual only)<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the structure of the program? \u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">There are currently 2 standard offerings available:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Virtual online (6 week block) <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0&#8211; <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">6 x 1 hour sessions <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In-person (3 week block)<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> &#8211; <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">3 x 2 hour sessions <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Equips teacher with basic skills required to run code clubs and complete basic Scratch lessons independently <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Virtual or on-site <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Allows the teacher to share knowledge and train colleagues in the primary school <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">No experience necessary<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you would like to register your primary school and either of the offered programs then please contact:<\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:jpmc.stem.primary.support@jpmorgan.com\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">jpmc.stem.primary.support@jpmorgan.com<\/span><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>About JP Morgan\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As well as being a global leader in financial services, JP Morgan is one of the world&#8217;s biggest technology-driven companies.
