Education Scotland, with its partners in the National e-Learning Offer, is carrying out discovery work to understand how the recent experiences of remote teaching and learning during the last year, along with pre-pandemic delivery, might influence the future delivery of education in Scotland. This includes exploring the potential of future blended learning in the classroom or alternative learning models for interrupted learners and those with additional support needs.
This early stage discovery is led by research & design practitioners within the Digital Transformation Division of the Scottish Government. We believe that involving the experience of the learners, the educators and those that support both, is paramount for the success of this project.
At this stage, we would like to facilitate a workshop in the week commencing 31st May with between 15 – 30 teachers from all across Scotland. We would like to hear from teachers who were digital adopters pre-pandemic and those who benefitted from additional training during the pandemic.
We will be seeking full informed consent and all contributions will be anonymised – both in the final report and in our communications with Education Scotland. Safeguarding of participants and their rights to privacy is our main concern.
If you are interested in taking part, please email the project contact, Leanne Roarty (leanne.roarty@gov.scot), by Friday, 21st May 2021 and Leanne will be in touch to make arrangements.
