How can we introduce more tools into the classroom?  What do we need?  How do we store them?  How do we learn how to use them?  What do we do with them?
This session, for practitioners of all stages, aims to:
  • explore what introducing tools into the classroom may look like. Will it include including Scissors, Sellotape dispensers, iPad, saws, nails, axes?
  • illustrate practical examples of ways to manage the use of tools around a classroom
  • discuss why it is important to explore tool use in the classroom and how it can benefit young people.

What is CAD? How do you design a model using software to solve a problem?
This session aims to:
  • explore what CAD is
  • demonstrate how it can be used with young learners through BGE allowing users to create digital models using Tinkercad (a free online tool from Autodesk)
  • explore the fabrication approaches which can be used with your CAD models
