A further round of recruitment will take place for educators with ASN experience in the new year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Education Scotland Associate role recognises our commitment to increasing opportunities for the profession to be engaged in the work of the organisation. ESAs will work&nbsp;in a range of areas to support improvement activity across local authorities and  work linked to the Curriculum Improvement Cycle (CIC) for Scotland.&nbsp;They make an important contribution to our programmes, drawing on their experience as educators, their specialist skills, and their educational and system knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Available positions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Early learning and childcare (ELC)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Head or depute head of establishments with experience in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Early Learning and Childcare (6 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Early Learning and Childcare with a specialism in Science (1 post)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Primary and secondary specialists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Curriculum area, subject and sector specialists will support improvement activity across local authorities and\/ or work linked to the Curriculum Improvement Cycle (CIC) for Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking applications from <strong>primary <\/strong>and <strong>secondary curriculum area<\/strong>, <strong>subject <\/strong>and <strong>sector specialists <\/strong>who are currently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>teachers with a minimum of 5 years experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>principal teachers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>faculty heads or leads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Specialist areas include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expressive Arts (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gaelic (Learners) and literacy and G\u00e0idhlig (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heath and Wellbeing (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Literacy and English (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modern Languages (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Numeracy and Mathematics (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Religious and Moral Education (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sciences (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project Learning (senior phase) in secondary schools (up to 2 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technologies (up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Subjects(up to 5 posts)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br><br><em>Note: ESAs will work with us on an \u2018as required\u2019 basis for up to 15 days whilst keeping existing roles within a school or setting.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/about-education-scotland\/vacancies\/education-scotland-associate\/\">Find Out More and Apply Now<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you want to be actively engaged in our work to support the Curriculum Improvement Cycle at Education Scotland?
