To avoid confusion historical materials and resources will also be placed in a new \u2018archive\u2019 section of the refreshed site. All of the contents of this Glow Blog will transfer to the Education Scotland website by August 2027.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Background<br><\/strong>Scotland is in the third year of a ten\u2011year programme focused on reviewing and evolving the curriculum. This is called the Curriculum Improvement Cycle (CIC). We remain committed to keeping you informed throughout this work and providing a clear sense of what to expect and when. The refreshed curriculum, which is currently being co-created with teachers, practitioners, partners, and children and young people, will be formally adopted in schools and settings starting in August 2028. We are currently testing a range of curriculum guidance through a service design approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The initial DRAFT of new curriculum guidance <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/cices\/building-scotlands-curriculum-draft-resource\/\">\u2018Building Scotland&#8217;s Curriculum\u2019 <\/a>was made available in June 2026 along with samples for the new know-do-understand model. The full DRAFT know-do-understand model for each of the curriculum areas will be released later in the autumn.
