Three ways to add a block<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are 3 main ways to add a block. The Plus Button<\/a>; The Slash Command<\/a> & The Block Inserter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Plus Button<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • Click on the area where you want to add a block.<\/li>\n
  • You\u2019ll see a small plus (+) button appear.<\/li>\n
  • Click on the plus button, and a menu with various block options will appear.<\/li>\n
  • Select the type of block you want to add from the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This method is very straightforward and is probably the most common way to add a block.<\/p>\n

    You can also see a plus button appear between blocks when you move the mouse over that area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    The Slash \/ Command<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Click on the area where you want to add a block.<\/li>\n
    • Start typing a forward slash (\/) on your keyboard.<\/li>\n
    • This will bring up a search bar and a list of available blocks.<\/li>\n
    • As you type, the list will filter based on what you\u2019re typing. Select the block you want from the list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The slash command is handy for users who prefer keyboard shortcuts and don\u2019t want to use the mouse as much.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      The Block Inserter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      • When you hover over an existing block, you\u2019ll see a toolbar that appears above it.<\/li>\n
      • At the top-left corner of the main toolbar, you\u2019ll find a small plus (+) icon.<\/li>\n
      • Clicking on this plus icon will add a new block directly below the block you\u2019re hovering over.<\/li>\n
