I was finally able to find some time to complete the Online Language Assessment (OLA) on Monday. I didn’t want to start the assessment unless it was in a calm environment and the Library was the best bet for this. I achieved a percentage of 69% (24 out of 35) which I felt was not too bad for a first attempt, however, I definitely feel there is room for improvement. The major downfall to my score was the final task of going through a paragraph and making punctuation corrections so I will need to get more practice in making corrections (especially as a future teacher!)
Moving forward from my first attempt, I hope to go over using punctuation in a formed piece of writing in comparison to correcting individual sentences. (17/10/16)
