Providing appropriate programmes based on individual needs<\/p>\n

Providing positive learning experiences<\/p>\n

Setting realistic and achievable goals<\/p>\n

Evaluating and reviewing with the high schools<\/p>\n

Encourage our young people to become good citizens by \u2013<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Ensuring our young people have the right support in place to help them meet the expectations that are put on them through problem solving practices<\/p>\n

Modelling positive behaviour and attitudes and encouraging it\u2019s use<\/p>\n

Supporting young people to address their social and emotional needs<\/p>\n

Promoting confidence and self-esteem in our young people<\/p>\n

Adopting a non-judgemental and non-discriminatory attitude towards our young people<\/p>\n

Encouraging inclusion in positive activities<\/p>\n

Instilling self-belief in our young people that they can achieve good things<\/p>\n

To create a calm and safe environment where our young people\u2019s developmental needs can be met \u2013<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Setting good examples by providing appropriate role models<\/p>\n

Ensuring staff development is ongoing and relevant to improve practice<\/p>\n

Using Trauma Informed Practice and the Nurturing Principles<\/p>\n

Support and prepare our young people to make a successful transition into adulthood by \u2013<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Forming good links with partnership agencies and maintain good working relationships<\/p>\n

Identifying local resources e.g., colleges, employers etc<\/p>\n

Ensuring parents\/carers are involved in all aspects of their young person\u2019s life at Airport House<\/p>\n
