We cannot accept photocopies.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Your child\u2019s circumstances will\u00a0be assessed, which informs the Admissions Panel, the deciding panel of experienced\u00a0professionals who offer nursery placements to families. The panel will, as far as possible, try to accommodate the parent\/carers first choice of nursery but it may be that, should it be full to capacity, a place in the 2nd\u00a0\/3rd\u00a0choice will be sought.<\/p>\n<p>Full time placements are available for working parents or those attending further education establishments of children aged 3-5yrs. This will be 6 sessions per week on a term time contract or 5 sessions per week on a 52 week contract. If you are seeking service which exceeds this, a charge applies please contact the nursery for details or go to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gfis.org.uk\/pages\/show\/8\">http:\/\/www.gfis.org.uk\/pages\/show\/8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If your child is starting in Adelphi Nursery at 2 years old, they may be entitled to &#8220;Eligible 2 Year Old&#8221; government funded hours. For more information and to apply,\u00a0please<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/index.aspx?articleid=17458\">\u00a0click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Settling in<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>We want to make sure that you and your child feel safe, settled and secure. The best way to do this is to get to know you both, to build relationships between you and the staff team and to make sure all your questions and possible anxieties are addressed.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind here and 4 simple steps to help your child settle and feel secure.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be prepared to stay with your child until they say it&#8217;s ok for you to go, this varies from child to child but we do ask that every child has a familiar adult to stay with them, for at least the first couple of days.<\/li>\n<li>Be guided by your own feelings and the expertise of the staff as to how long the settling in process takes. You may only need to wait in the parent&#8217;s area for the first couple of days until they feel comfortable in the playrooms, (Relax! Have a cuppa, read a magazine&#8230;remember those days!). Some children may take a little longer.<\/li>\n<li>When your child has become confident in the room you will be encouraged to leave the nursery for a short time (an hour at first, then gradually build up to the full session), please make sure you are back on time as this will reassure your child and build their confidence during the settling process.<\/li>\n<li>Staff will extend your time away as quickly as your child&#8217;s needs allow. Follow these steps and, in no time at all, your child should be settled, and happily engaged for the full session.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">The time it takes for your child to settle in fully to the nursery is\u00a0unique to them and can vary depending on your child&#8217;s feelings and needs.
