(<a href=\"https:\/\/glasgow.gov.uk\/article\/4304\/Early-Learning-and-Childcare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/glasgow.gov.uk\/article\/4304\/Early-Learning-and-Childcare<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Please apply approx <em>from<\/em> 6 weeks prior to your child turning 2 onwards.\u00a0 Do not hesitate to call us to give you help and advice.\u00a0 You can hand in an application to apply for nursery before having your Eligible 2 funding application completed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Learning Initiatives<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We continue to develop the learning initiatives that we had planned. Please read our Newsletters about:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bookbug Sessions\u00a0<\/strong> are held every <em>Tuesday at 10.30am<\/em> for our 2-3 Playroom (Courtney) and every <em>Thursday at 2pm<\/em> for our 3-5 Playroom (Salma).\u00a0 Please don&#8217;t hesitate to ask for more information &#8211; our check the times as listed in our latest Newsletter.\u00a0 Parents and Carers are always welcome to come along! And we wish Bookbug to be part of our Transition, so before your child starts with us; you are welcome to come along to these fun Sessions.<\/p>\n<p>2024 &#8211; Children have been on trips to <strong>local shops, local library and taken part in litter picks.\u00a0 <\/strong>The children went to the Shops\u00a0to buy exotic fruits for tasting stations to support story of Handra&#8217;s Surpise; <strong>Glasgow Green<\/strong> on a Gruffalo Hunt and some of our children have visited the <strong>Transport Museum<\/strong>.\u00a0 All these visits have been to support learning and development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toy Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although the Toy Fund is Voluntary \u2013 we depend greatly on our Families Weekly Contribution to support the life and work of the nursery.<\/p>\n<p>In order to provide your child with a variety of resources (which is very\u00a0valuable to their learning), we ask that you donate a small fee of \u00a32 per child per week (or \u00a33 per family);<\/p>\n<p>These resources include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baking ingredients eg Pancake Day<\/li>\n<li>Playdough\/malleable ingredients<\/li>\n<li>Christmas presents,\u00a0Easter gift,\u00a0Celebrations (Halloween, Chinese New Year, Diwali)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nursery Toy Fund donations can be paid on a weekly, monthly or termly basis to suit parents own arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish you can pay your \u00a32 per week toyfund contribution through Adelphi Nursery Bank Account.\u00a0 If this is a more convenient method for yourself<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bank of Scotland\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Account Number<\/strong> 16663063<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sort Code<\/strong> 80-22-60\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<strong>Name of Account<\/strong> \u2013 Adelphi Nursery Fund<\/p>\n<p>Please put your <strong>child\u2019s name<\/strong> as reference for payment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Arriving and Leaving <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is important that the gates at the entrance are <strong>locked<\/strong> when arriving and leaving. This is for safety of all children.<\/p>\n<p>In line with government guidelines, please ensure that you wear a face covering when coming to the nursery at drop off and pick up times if you are medically fit to do so.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Shoes\u00a0 <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please provide a pair of plimsoles or slippers to the nursery for your child to wear when playing indoors. Staff will change them from their own shoes each day and all children will wear nursery wellies when outdoors.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Bags\/Spare clothes <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please be aware that every child has a bag at their peg which is used to hold all of their spare clothes. We have a limited amount of space at each peg, therefore, if your child has a backpack, the contents will be put into the bag provided and you will be given back their own bag.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout your child\u2019s day at the nursery, they are likely to play and explore a variety of materials that would make them dirty or wet. Please ensure that your child has a few sets of spare clothes (including pants, socks, trousers and tops) so that they can be changed throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PATHS <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The children in the 3\/5 playroom have been continuing to participate in PATHS lessons each week to develop their awareness of their emotions and how to express them appropriately.
