  1. Congratulations to everyone involved in STEM Central. I think this is exactly what the science teaching community has been waiting for as an exemplification of how to apply the capacities and principles of CfE to science laboratory-based teaching.

    Everything here links so well with the Science Principles and Practice paper and shows how the science Es and Os can capture relevant literacy and numeracy Es&Os as well as providing legitimate opportunities for purposeful interdisciplinary work.

    I’m very pleased to see that the Es and Os have not been atomised into too many learning intentions and success criteria and that the extremely important message about the need to identify opportunities to gather evidence of learning at the topic planning stage is so prominent.
