{"id":3829,"date":"2018-01-24T15:17:36","date_gmt":"2018-01-24T14:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/CreativityPortalAdmin\/?p=3829"},"modified":"2018-01-24T15:17:36","modified_gmt":"2018-01-24T14:17:36","slug":"scottish-learning-festival-2018-call-for-seminar-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/CreativityPortalAdmin\/2018\/01\/24\/scottish-learning-festival-2018-call-for-seminar-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"Scottish Learning Festival 2018 &#8211; call for seminar proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"es-published-date\">The Scottish Learning Festival 2018 takes place on <strong>Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 September<\/strong> in the SEC, Glasgow.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Festival provides high quality continuing professional learning and is a rendezvous for educational professionals, both nationally and internationally, providing a unique platform to engage with a diverse range of experts, colleagues and suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for <strong>SLF<\/strong><strong> 2018 <\/strong>is <strong><em>Collaborating for Improvement<\/em><\/strong> with a particular focus on;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>effective collaborations that ensure young people are having a greater say in decisions that affect their lives<\/li>\n<li>strong STEM education and training that inspires learners and connects with the labour market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Education Scotland organises the festival and is now accepting seminar proposals for the 2018 conference programme which will feature around 100 seminars over two days.<\/p>\n<p>Is there a project you have been working on that could be showcased?\u00a0 Or perhaps you are aware of establishments that demonstrate good practice?\u00a0 If you would like to submit a proposal for consideration please complete and return the attached form before <strong>midday on<\/strong> <strong>Monday 19 February<\/strong>.\u00a0 Proposals received after this date will not be considered for inclusion in the conference programme.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/Documents\/SLF2018_seminar_proforma_and_criteria.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ms-asset-icon ms-rtePosition-4\" src=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/_layouts\/images\/iczip.gif\" alt=\"\" \/>ZIP\u00a0file: SLF 2018 seminar proposal form and review criteria (1.7 MB)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All proposals received will be reviewed against a set criteria.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 conference programme and registration will be launched in May.<\/p>\n<p>Running alongside the SLF conference is the largest education exhibition in Scotland with over 200 suppliers, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slfexhibition.com\/\">find out more<\/a> about the SLF exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like any further information about SLF 2018 please contact the <a href=\"mailto:SLF@educationscotland.gsi.gov.uk\">SLF team<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Scottish Learning Festival 2018 takes place on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 September in the SEC, Glasgow.
